Background

Started in 2018

Crisp Studio launched from a shared desk in a co-working space in Bristol. The founding idea was simple: too many small companies get stuck with identities that look dated within two years because they were built on trends instead of structure.

We wanted to offer the kind of systematic brand work usually reserved for large agencies but without the overhead, the layers of account management, or the six-month timelines. A typical Crisp project runs eight to twelve weeks from kickoff to final delivery.

How we work

The process

01. Research

We interview stakeholders, audit existing materials, study your competitors, and map out the landscape before sketching a single idea. This phase takes two to three weeks and shapes everything after it.

02. Concept

We present two to three directions, each with a logo, colour palette, and sample applications. No fifty-option decks. Fewer options lead to better conversations and faster decisions.

03. System

The chosen direction gets expanded into a full brand system: typography rules, layout grids, icon style, photography guidelines, and templates. You get a toolkit, not a PDF you never open again.

The team

Small by design

We are three people: a brand strategist, a graphic designer, and a digital designer. We do not plan to grow beyond five. Keeping the team small means every client works directly with the people making the work.

For specialist needs like motion graphics, copywriting, or photography, we bring in trusted freelancers who have worked with us for years and understand our standards.
